BEARINGS
Entry to the port, in the Anllóns River estuary, in Cabana de Bergantiños, is facilitated by the A Vixía upland and the mouth between the Roncudo River
and Cape Laxe. Both of the estuary’s shores feature extensive beaches, including Laxe Beach.
When entering from the NE, avoid the mouth of the Roncudo River. From the SW, beware of the Avería sandbanks.
The port is protected by a large, 390-metre breakwater, signalled with a green light, with an inner 90-metre breakwater, featuring a red light, and several anchorages. There are plans for the construction of
a new spur jetty. The marina is open from 1 June to 30 September, and has the following characteristics:

NAUTICAL ACTIVITIES
Sailing, Optimist, Cadet, Vaurien, windsurfing and kayaking classes are offered. There are also competitions between local clubs and fishing competitions for children. Once a year, courses for two different skipper licenses are offered. The nautical club makes surfboards, kayaks and canoes available to its members. The nearby beaches of Soesto and Traba offer perfect conditions in which to practice these sports.
SERVICES
In the summer, the club uses a 4-module, 12-metre pier. Thirty berths are reserved for members and 10% of berths are used by non-members. French, English, German, Norwegian and Italian are spoken.
The marina also offers mooring buoys, potable water, electric connection, showers, WC, washing machine, first aid kit, dry dock for repairs and maintenance, ramp, fuel pump, maritime radio channel, land stowage, used oil collection, telephones, crane, car park, rescue equipment, mechanic service and nautical materials.<
Cars and bicycles can be hired at Hostal Bahía. A few metres away, lodging, restaurants, bars, a post service, supermarket and services offered by the Towncouncil and Firefighters can be found.
ON LAND
There is an assortment of leisure and recreational activities available on land, about which Offices of Tourism can provide more information:

. Picnic areas and water sports at Laxe, Soesto and Traba beaches: sailing, surfing, windsurfing, waterskiing, sport fishing...
VISITS TO_
. Fornela dos Mouros Dolmen (3000 B.C.).
. Forts: A Torre da Moa, in Traba, A Torre, in Sarces and Castro de Lourido, in Serantes, all from the Castro period.
. Romanesque Churches: Santa María de Serantes (XII c.), which features a Roman altar dedicated to the Celtic god Cosus and Santiago, in Traba (XIII c.). Its interior houses the remains of the Moscoso de Altamira family, successors of the Trastámara de Traba, lords of the Tierras Ártabras which served as Laxe’s quickest access to the sea. In the cemetery lie the remains of the victims of the 1830 shipwreck of the English steamship Adelaide.
